The Chiemgau is a true bike Eldorado for pleasure cyclists, racing cyclists and last but not least for mountain bike enthusiasts.

So it's definitely worth taking your bikes along on your trip to Chiemsee Chalet.

 

Mountain bike

From the chalet you can ride your mountain bike directly into the mountains of the Chiemgau Alps. Varied meadow trails, dream views and alpine pause included.

In half an hour you can climb the STUBN in the Frasdorfer Hütte, which was newly opened in 2022, or the rustic Hofalm. From here, experienced bikers have the option of taking a very challenging trail descent in the direction of Aschau, and then climbing many more meters of altitude to the Kampenwand. Most bikers, however, continue to the Riesenhütte (unmanned) or via the Winterstube in the direction of Käser Alm in the popular biking area of Samerberg/Hochries.

The Bikepark Samerberg is another mountain bike highlight. Here you can also take the bike with the cable car and ride only downhill.

 

Chiemsee Cycle Path - once around Lake Chiemsee in 59 km

For those who prefer flat terrain, a very worthwhile day tour takes you around Lake Chiemsee.

Cycle from the front door with your own bikes or start from Bernau am Chiemsee, where you can rent bikes or e-bikes.

It is recommended to choose your desired bike in advance on the website of the rental company and to reserve it in time.
